My Roommates Made a Bet plot: a too-cheap room and a secret wager
My Roommates Made a Bet starts with a broke everyman who answers a suspiciously cheap room ad and says yes. He moves in with two bombshell roommates, and he has no idea that they have secretly bet on which of them will win him over first.
The synopsis warns that not all is as it seems, so the story is clearly built around a twist hiding behind the flirting. The setting is a single shared home, the tone is glossy, teasing and a little mischievous, and the lead is the classic underdog: outnumbered at home and unaware of the game being played around him.
What to expect from this roommate story
- A built-in mystery: a room that is too cheap and a bet nobody mentions are exactly the kind of details that tend to pay off later in a story.
- Two against one: a single underdog facing two confident roommates keeps the push and pull simple to follow on a small screen.
- Quick pacing: five short episodes are made for a single evening on your phone, so there is no long commitment.
- Suggestive, not flagged: Candy does not label this series Spicy (adult content), so you can open it before you create an account.
My Roommates Made a Bet episodes: what is free and what is premium
The series has 5 episodes. Episode 1 is free to start on Candy AI, and you sign up free to keep going. Episodes after that are premium: you can subscribe to Candy Premium or unlock single episodes one by one, which Candy describes as yours forever, with no ads and no waiting.
At the time of writing, a Premium month costs $9.99 for the first month and then $13.99 per month, and longer plans work out cheaper. Subtitles come in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. Dubbed audio is listed as coming soon.
Who will love it
Pick this one if you enjoy roommate-comedy setups, underdog heroes and short-form romance with a wink. Candy files it under its most flirtation-heavy genre, so expect plenty of teasing from the bombshell pair. If you prefer slow, serious drama it may feel light, but for a fast, playful watch it fits the mood well.
Our verdict on My Roommates Made a Bet
This is an easy Candy Shorts series to start and an easy one to finish, with a hook that works: why is the room so cheap, and who is really playing whom? The honest downside is length. Five episodes go quickly, and after the free first one you need Premium or single unlocks to see how the bet plays out. Worth it for the free first episode alone.
